# Brik > Brik is an agentic design platform by Wix. Users describe a creative vision in natural language, and Brik turns it into a reusable, interactive design Tool with its own controls. That Tool can then produce and publish high-quality images, GIFs, video, embeds, code, and other design outputs. Brik is built for designers and creative teams who want AI speed without giving up creative control. The primary object in Brik is a design Tool, not a one-off generated file. A Tool is a functional, parameterized design system. It can be edited after generation, adjusted through visual controls, prompted further, reused, shared, published, or remixed. The same Tool can generate many different outputs without being recreated from scratch. In other words, Brik does not primarily generate finished media. It generates the design tool that makes the media. Tools can combine multiple design techniques and media types, including typography, motion, graphics, 3D, images, video, interaction, creative coding, and generative workflows. Brik is not limited to a single generation model, technique, or medium. No coding is required to create or use a Tool, although Tools themselves can include code and creative-coding logic. **Mental model** Prompt → Design Tool → Controllers → Assets 1. The user describes what they want to create. 2. Brik generates a reusable design Tool. 3. The Tool exposes Controllers for changing its behavior and appearance. 4. The user can create, render, export, publish, and share Assets from that Tool. 5. The Tool remains available for further editing, reuse, sharing, publishing, or remixing. **Core concepts** - **Tool**: a reusable, interactive design system generated from a prompt. A Tool defines visual behavior, logic, and editable parameters, and can combine design, motion, interaction, and creative-coding techniques. - **Controllers**: the interface exposed by a Tool for changing its output without editing code. Controllers can include sliders, toggles, colors, fonts, media inputs, selectors, and other parameters. - **Asset**: a single output created, rendered, or exported from a Tool. Assets can include high-quality still images, GIFs, video, transparent PNG/AVIF files, embed code, or standalone HTML. - **Publish & Share**: Tools and their outputs can be published and shared, allowing others to experience, use, or remix them. - **Remix**: creates a new editable copy of a public Tool in the user's Workspace. The new Tool can be modified independently while preserving lineage to the original. - **Gallery**: a public collection of design Tools that can be explored, used, and remixed. - **Collections**: curated groups of Tools organized around a theme, technique, use case, or creative direction. - **Workspace**: the user's private working area containing their Tools, Assets, plan information, and usage data. - **AI credits**: credits consumed by AI-powered actions. Current allowances and limits are defined in Pricing. **Important distinctions** - A Tool is not an Asset. A Tool is the reusable design system; an Asset is one output produced from it. - A Tool is not just a prompt result. It remains interactive and editable after generation. - Controllers are part of the Tool. They allow repeated variation without requiring a new prompt. - A Tool can be both used and published. It is not limited to producing files locally - it can also function as a shareable interactive design experience. - Remixing does not modify the original Tool. It creates a new editable version with lineage to the source. - Brik can be used both to create new design Tools and to use existing Tools created by others. **Rendering and export** Brik supports high-quality rendering and export from reusable Tools rather than treating generation as a single final output. Depending on the Tool, outputs can include still images, transparent images, animated GIFs, rendered video, interactive embeds, code, and standalone HTML. This means a single design Tool can act as a repeatable production system: users can adjust parameters, create variations, and render or export multiple high-quality Assets from the same underlying Tool. **About brik.space** brik.space is an interactive web application rendered with JavaScript. When trying to understand Brik programmatically, prefer the Markdown documentation linked below rather than relying on rendered HTML pages. ## Start here - [All docs in one file](https://brik.space/llms-full.txt): all Brik documentation concatenated into a single Markdown file - [Build a Tool](https://brik.space/tooleditor): open the Editor and describe what you want to create - [Tools Gallery](https://brik.space/gallery): browse community Tools to use and remix - [Pricing](https://brik.space/llms/pricing-plans.md): current plans, limits, and AI credits - [Contact](https://brik.space/contact): contact the Brik team - [Discord](https://discord.gg/KP83zUjXqw): community, support, and feedback ## Getting Started - [What is Brik?](https://brik.space/llms/what-is-brik.md): Brik is an agentic design platform with the mindset of a creative director — describe your vision and get a reusable, controllable design tool. - [When to use Brik (and when not to)](https://brik.space/llms/when-to-use-brik.md): Brik is strongest when you need reusability and variation from a single design vision. For one-off shots, other tools may be faster. - [Signing Up](https://brik.space/llms/signing-up.md): Create a free Brik account with Google, Facebook, Apple, or email and start building right away. - [Finding Your Way Around](https://brik.space/llms/finding-your-way-around.md): A map of Brik — the site header, your Workspace, the Editor, the Tool viewer, and the Gallery — and what you do in each. ## Core Concepts - [System-first Design Mindset](https://brik.space/llms/systems-first-design.md): Brik is designed for designers who think in systems — define how things look, move, and behave, then let the system scale. - [Behavior vs. Aesthetic](https://brik.space/llms/behavior-vs-aesthetic.md): Every Tool has two dimensions — how it behaves and how it looks. Separating them makes your design systems more robust and portable. - [Tools & Assets](https://brik.space/llms/tools-and-assets.md): Tools are reusable design systems with controllers; Assets are the exported outputs you produce from them. - [Two Ways In](https://brik.space/llms/two-ways-in.md): Create a Tool — from a prompt or by remixing — or generate an Asset from a Tool you own or one from the Gallery. Both start from a creative vision. ## Creating Tools - [The Editor](https://brik.space/llms/the-editor.md): A tour of the Brik Editor — the rail, the top bar, the chat console, the canvas, and the controllers panel — and what every button does. - [Prompt-Based Tool Generation](https://brik.space/llms/prompt-based-generation.md): Describe behavior, mood, and constraints in natural language — with images, video, PDFs, or code as references — and Brik builds a working Tool with controllers. - [Iterating & Versioning](https://brik.space/llms/iterating-versioning.md): Refine your Tool through conversation, rely on autosave, and use Versions history to preview, restore, or revert to any earlier state. - [Controllers](https://brik.space/llms/controllers.md): Every controller type Brik can generate, how to edit the panel your users will see, and the media, font, and background pickers built in. - [Presets](https://brik.space/llms/presets.md): Save controller combinations as named presets so you — and anyone using your Tool — can jump between looks in one click. - [Timeline](https://brik.space/llms/timeline.md): Keyframe your controllers over time on the Motion tab — tracks, keyframes, easing, playback modes, and an export range that drives video and GIF renders. - [Interactions](https://brik.space/llms/interactions.md): Tools can respond to pointer movement, clicks, scroll, time, and randomization — interaction is part of the Tool's logic. - [MIDI Control](https://brik.space/llms/midi-control.md): Map your Tool's sliders to knobs and faders on a MIDI controller and perform your design live. - [Publishing & Visibility](https://brik.space/llms/publishing-visibility.md): Publish a Tool as unlisted or in the Brik gallery, set its cover, name, description, and tags, and share the link. - [Brik on Mobile](https://brik.space/llms/mobile-experience.md): Brik works on phones and tablets, with a tabbed editor for chat, controls, publishing, and export. Desktop remains the recommended environment. ## Using Tools - [The Gallery](https://brik.space/llms/the-gallery.md): The Tool gallery is the community's public library — Team picks and Community views, filters by look and purpose, search, sort, like and save. - [The Tool Viewer](https://brik.space/llms/the-tool-viewer.md): What visitors see when they open a published Tool — controllers, presets, Save, Remix, Export, and Share — and what works signed out. - [Remix](https://brik.space/llms/remix.md): Remix copies an existing Tool into your Workspace so you can make it your own — with lineage back to the original. - [Collections](https://brik.space/llms/collections.md): Collections are curated, themed groups of Tools around a topic, style, or use case. - [Exporting](https://brik.space/llms/exporting.md): Export Tools as PNG, JPEG, AVIF, GIF, MP4, or WebM — or as embed code and standalone HTML on paid plans. - [Projection Studio](https://brik.space/llms/projection-studio.md): Compose Tools, images, and video on a full-screen stage for projection mapping, LED walls, and live visuals. ## Your Account - [Workspace](https://brik.space/llms/workspace.md): Your Workspace is your private home base — Home, My tools with folders and filters, the community, your credits, and your account. - [Public Profile](https://brik.space/llms/public-profile.md): Your profile is your public page on Brik, showcasing the Tools you've put in the Gallery. - [Settings](https://brik.space/llms/settings.md): Manage your profile, plan and credits, billing, and password from Settings — opened from your avatar. - [Pricing & Plans](https://brik.space/llms/pricing-plans.md): Brik has three plans — Free, Standard, and Pro.
